First of all I would highly recommend this company because of their excellent after sales service and communication. I ordered a drive and subsequently changed my mind and I was given a full refund. I decided to order this RAID Network Drive instead. Delivery time was excellent, the drive arrived the next day and I timed it so that it would arrive on a Saturday when I was not at work!
The instructions were fairly clear, you had to read this several times as it seemed to have been written by someone whose native language is not English. However if you persist with the instructions and have some patience, it is relatively straightforward to set up shared drives in Windows. There are no instructions for setting this up under generic Linux OS, apart from a separate section for Apple MAC, but there are plenty of instructions for connecting to NAS on the web and this was relatively setup also as SAMBA server is already installed on the drive itself. With Ubuntu this was particularly easy to do.
The drive itself is stylish, looks solidly built and sits in an unobtrusive corner of the living room. In fact, I barely notice that its there, apart from when the TV and other appliances are switched off but even then the "hum" of the drive is acceptable. Transfer speeds are good via the wireless connection and it has a useful feature to back up to external drive via the USB connector on the back.
All in all, I am really happy with the drive, it offers very good value for money and I would recommend this to others.
